How To Scan

Scan Volume and Scan Depth

The scan volume extends approximately 8” (20 cm) in front of the scan window.

The optimal scanning distance is at the center of the scan volume, or approxi-

mately four inches (10 cm) from the window.

Sweep Scanning—Move (sweep) the product, with the bar code facing the front

window, laterally through the scan volume.

Presentation Scanning—Face the bar code towards the center of the front scanner

window. Move the product with the bar code towards the scanner.
